Magpie Lane sounds like quite the ride. I haven't read a "spooky" or even "creepy" book in a long, long time. Just haven't had the desire, but this one has done the trick, and I"m off to see if my library has it.


It's nice to find that perfect sweet spot between familiar tropes and just enough of a splash to keep you expecting something a little different.
