More Flowers

Since I posted a flower picture last week, I thought I would put another one here today.  It is from a Hallmark card actually, not Tina Modotti, though it has a similar feel to it.  I am a very visual person, so I really like having some sort of picture with my posts.  The average person probably only spends a couple of seconds looking at a blog, so I figure they should have something nice to look at while here, even if they don't read anything I write.

As this blog is a gift from my sister, I have not thought much about how much anything costs or how the subscription side of all this works.  I started really looking at the stats page (other than checking to see if anyone was popping in once and a while).  Honestly I am not too good spatially when it comes to understanding how many megabytes or gigabytes I have used or can use,  but I do understand when it says how much space I am allowed each month.  Then they predict how much I am predicted to use if I stay my current course.  I am learning the concept of space now, however.  At first I was going to go over my allotted space, but I have been very good when it comes to scanning as of late.  It is amazing how small you can make something when you try!  Now I am happy to say, I will have space leftover!

Blogging

Had I not received this blog as a gift, I have to say I doubt I would ever have decided to do this on my own.  I have loads of journals all over the place, but for the most part they are empty.  I like the idea of keeping a journal, but I have always been too afraid someone would find it and read it--gasp.  So I may have used them for lists (I am a great list maker), or book titles, or whatever.  But generally they lie about the house all empty and pristine inside.  So, now I am wading through this whole blog business trying to figure out what is where and how to do stuff.  And I find myself thinking...what if no one wants to read this?  Sheesh.  Never am I happy.  I have looked at all sorts of blogs, and I find it rather addictive now.  It is a little voyeuristic really.  Like reality TV, but over the internet.  Some people really tell all sorts of personal things.  I don't think I will ever get as personal as well...the sort of stuff I am writing right now.  But I do find myself looking at the stat counter in my account and seeing if anyone else in the whole wide world has even taken a momentary glance at this.  Or...if in the end I needn't have worried about anyone even wanting to read my journal anyway.
